The Day Dave Regretted Himself Final
by Ben on Mar.22, 2008, under General
Dave had found a few very convenient things in the warehouse. First, there was a frying pan. Great for knocking out thugs. Second, there was a coil of rope. Great for tripping thugs. And last, there was the gum wrapper. Dave really had no idea what he could to with a shiny gold gum wrapper in it, but it reminded him vaguely of a certain TV show with a certain Richard Dean in it…Anyway, he was kind of clueless about that part. So, off went Dave to put his plan into action.
He managed to sneak to outside the room where his stamps were being held. There were two guards, vicious looking brutes Dave though, guarding the stamps. Ah ha! The perfect use for the tinfoil gum wrapper! There was a large floodlight at the opposite end of the hallway. Now, Dave happened to know these guards were paid a minimum wage, (200 yen an hour) so he assumed they would both stoop quickly for a shiny object like a 2000 yen coin. When the guard’s backs were turned, he quickly tied the rope from one side of the door to the other, at about ankle hight. Now he shaped the tinfoil into a circle, and set it in the door way, so it reflected the bright light. The guards fell for it like a ton of….Well, anything like bricks, that’s been used too often. Ah! Like a ton of rabbid lemurs! After they tripped, Dave clocked both of them with his handy-dandy frying pan. Grabbing his stamps he rushed out of the warehouse into the bustling streets of Tokyo.
Everything seemed to be okay! He lost his pursuers, and he could easily afford a ticket back home with the three twenty dollar bills in his pocket. However, he was just about to wave down a taxi, when a strong wind blew up…
